Paul Williams

Paul was the founder of Crawdaddy magazine and is considered “father of rock criticism”

He wrote many books, including "Das Energi" which was one of the most inspirational books I have ever read. He wrote biographies of Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson and Neil Young and is a an amazing resource for the history of American rock music.

I first met Paul in the late eighties, and had some hilarious, interesting and long conversations with him. A great guy, and I learned a lot from him.

Sadly, in the mid-nineties he suffered a traumatic brain injury resulting from an accident. As the years have passed his health has declined to the point of now requiring full-time care.

Please take a minute to learn more about Paul and if you can, make a donation however small here to help his family continue Paul's care.

Thank You.

And Paul, our best wishes are with you.

For the past few months, Ali Taylor has been working on putting together a band for live performances to support the the release of her 'Wooden Box' CD.

Unfortunately, Ali has been dogged by some health issues on and off for the past year, and this has adversely affected the time she's had available to rehearse and work on this project.

Ali has made the decision to move back to her native Minneapolis so that she can take care of herself, work towards a full recovery, and base her future music activities from Minnesota.

This action will delay a full release of her CD. Stay tuned for further updates.

At last! Ali Taylor's CD, "Wooden Box" is mixed and is being circulated to Ali's team for business planning and relationships. The CD was coproduced by John Alcock and Glenn Sciurba

More information for Ali Taylor can be found on her MySpace site.

Update As of 5.1.08

Ali came in #2 as an artist in Alpine's "Rock the Dash" national competition, with over 450 artists participating. Many thanks to those that voted for Ali. Her "Wooden Box" however was the #1 song.

Wooden Box  by  Ali Taylor

By the way, there have been a few questions about "Wooden Box" and what it's about. Ali was inspired by the story of Colleen Stan, who was kidnapped and kept in captivity in 1977. Her story was told in the book "Perfect Victim" by Christine McGuire and Carla Norton.
